Hood Fit

HI GUYS GREAT FORUM. Can someone tell me the correct hood fit? I have colt gov. series 80 im tinkering with should the hood contact the breech or be clear of it?

I like the hood to touch the breechface, but I am no expert on this. The ideal, I think is that both the hood and the side areas touch at the same time. But if we are lucky, we'll have Tuner jump in on this, he is the expert.

The instructions for the Kart Easy-fit barrel say to have between .001-.002 clearance, but no more.
