grip safety

I am wondering how much the grip safety should travel before it disengages. My Springfield's grip safety rotates only slightly before disengaging. It functions as it should, the trigger does not move at all without touching the grip, and there is ample spring pressure on it. I see no wear on the safety. It just takes very little movment to disengage. Is this normal?

Some of them are more sensitive than others. I prefer mine to have an early release point. So long as it does it's job of being a grip safety I think it would be fine.
