Just got my kimber custom2 back from Marianne Carniak this week. She put an ambi safety on for me, and answered some feeding and reliability questions for me. She also polished my feed ramp and throat on the spot for me. Great prices, great work. Check Gunslinger's link for a link to her. I highly recommend her.

I'll second that recommendation. I had her take a stock Colt Commander a couple years ago, and had a ton of work done to it. She does a great job.

She has a workshop behind her home. Her phone number is (248) 528-1552 and she is located in Troy, MI. She installed an ambi safety for me, and cost me $114, she also polished the throat and feed ramp for me as well. Very pleasant to deal with, not bad on the eyes either. Very intelligent as well. Excellent work.

She's the besk kept secret gunsmith in SE Michigan. Her work is great, her turnaround times are reasonable, she delivers when promised, she stands behind her work absolutely, and her rates are very fair. Other than that, she's a good person. Please don't tell people about her because if she gets busy I'll have to wait too long for my stuff.

Great improvement. Looks good. I esp like the grips with the 1/2 and 1/2 smooth/checkered. Amazing what can happen to a gun in the hands of a good smith. How's it shoot?
Shoots fantastically. Very accurate, runs great. I had a few problems with it locking back the slide prematurely, but that was apparently due to the magazines I was using - switching to proper Colt designs solved that.
