I have a drop in blued slide release on a parkerized SA, and i have a few questions.
I would like to remove the blued finish, because i like the look of stainless steel, but will this require me to re-finish the part in some clear coating? Also, what would be the best method of removing the blued finish?
thanks

If you really want a stainless slide stop then buy a stainless slide stop. It is far easier than trying to strip blueing and make any sort of clear coat adhear to unfinished metal.

Hello. You can use a hard car vax to protect the slide from corroding (rust).
I use it on my shotgun and it works really well.
Best regards.
