22L.R. Convertion Unit!!

Is it possible to mount a 1929 Colt Ace 22L.R. Conversion unit on a Colt Super 38 frame without any fiting? Or is it only good on a Serie 70 45A.C.P. frame. Aren´t all 1911/1911A1 frames the same? Except for the the Serie 80, doble stack magazines, etc. frames?

In my experience sometimes the ejector isn't the same as the one in a 45 and may give you grief. Other than that I can't foresee much problem. I have a Kimber unit, it works on all my 1911's except my 9mm, due to the ejector in it. (I didn't say it works well, it doesn't, but it fits and works, just doesn't feed well.)
