I saw a New In The Box 1991 Old Roll Mark Stainless Government model for sale yesterday...procrastinated...don't really need it...didn't buy it. Now that I'm three hours away from it, I'm having second thoughts (naturally) and wondering if I should have bought it.

It was the old porus looking stainless finish that is matt all over with out the flats being polished...black plastic trigger, black plastic grips. It had the box, paperwork, etc.

$579, non negotiable plus stinking sales tax bringing it to slightly less than $620 out the door. If not for having to pay sales tax :nono: I probably would have bought it.

I think I would had to bring that one home as well. I bought a 1991A1 ORM for about $550 and she is a good one.

Think in my area I'd go about $550 tops since it's stainless, the ORM black ones can be had around here for a little less than that. But then I'm lucky to know where some small gunswapmeets are out in the boonies around here, with friendlier prices, not dealers, just individual sales 'n' swaps.

Yea I would have bought it. Lately the Orm's seem to be increasing in price. And other than the ugly roll marks the guns were built with quality parts and very reliable....... :)

Thanks for the input. It's still on my mind...I might end up with it yet, especially since it's new in the box.
