Nope, you'll need to modify the stock grip safety or replace it.

Not necessarily a beavertail. If you can find a Commander grip safety, you are good to go. Have a look at the picture below.

Colt. They're Series 80-type only, but will function in a pre-80 gun. Or...make one from a standard safety.

Yeah, but can you buy them from Brownells or anyone else? I do not think they have them in stock.

Here's one I made from a standard grip safety........they work very well, plus you can blend them into the frame better......
