These are the grips that I currently have on my 1911. I will be recieving my CCW shortly and am going to be changing the grips on my gun due to the "evil" :scared: factor of these grips....The thing that I like about these grips(besides the punisher ensignia) is that they have a gritty surface. I like the gritty surface much better than the smooth surface grips. I have not tried the rubber grips but heard that those are nice as well. Please give me some suggestions, pics would be nice too! :D

First, I think that you'd be wise to change the grips on a gun you might carry. Check out http://forum.m1911.org/showthread.php?t=26553.

As to suitable replacements, if you like something "grippy", have a look at VZ grips (http://www.vzgrips.com/). They are a sponsor and have a link at the top of this page.

You do want to be careful about using gritty or sticky grips on a concealment gun. The grips can stick to your covering garment, ruining its drape and thus compromising concealment.

What about the Desert Warrior style grips? Anyone use these? I have seen them on a few different sights and think that a tan pair of these would look nice on my gun. They appear to be "grippy" as well.

Those are, I believe, Gunner Grips by Simonich: http://www.simonichknives.com/. I believe that they may be purchased directly, and I know that they are also sold by TAD Gear: http://www.tripleaughtdesign.com/index.html. At TAD Gear, look under 'Strider Kinves."
