:scared: I thought it all may have been just a bad nightmare-dream-future flashback;but very early am on the History channel's "Modern Firearms" I see/hear a Colt exec/engineer? guy demoing a smart Colt that won't fire unless you're in close proximity with the microchip communicating with the weapon.

It was a huge, square thing, made of Tupperware. Comes with the wristwatch microchip thingy. The guy kept saying "Polly'-MIRE";is that like "polymer"?
All I could think was Man,I bet it's a loong time before we see a production 1908 Pocket Colt in .45ACP, (a la Mr. Laughridge).

While at Colt's factory trophy room (well, one of them) we saw a couple of prototype pistols. I haven't seen anything like the one mentioned above though. Sorry folks, I was too busy looking at the 1911s and didn't pay too much attention to these protos, all I remember is that they were some attempts at making a DA gun, and/or a DAO one. Too ugly!
