I finally got my 1911 slide and barrel from Sarco. Its a nice kit so far just requires fitting here and there. Now I'm waiting for more parts to finish it.

GREAT! yes, keep us posted [PICTURES would be nice, eh?] I did a Sarco over a Matchmaster raw. Lots of work, lots of pleasure.

So far alot of parts have required fitting but some drop in. It is a nice start to a basic CCW 1911 with a beavertail and novak style sights but otherwise GI parts.

Looks like what I wanted to do. I wimped out and got the Tactical instead. Maybe next time I will build my own. Good luck...

Its from Sarco distributer frame and slide kit made by armscor

well its alll together now used a stainless slide stop to put it together but will replace with a blued one soon will get some pictures

I was looking at Sarco's ad in SGN last night, and I think I might want to undertake such a project.

What specialty tools are required for the job?

nothing just files and dremel thats all I used
