The new pistol, not the conversion kit. What's the best price anyone has seen this selling for?

The Local Kimber dealer has two rimfire target pistoles the blue one is 619.00 and the SS is 725.00

Darn, 110 US$ more for stainless? Gee, they must value cosmetics too much. The price difference between the two steels is not that high.

I've seen $625 alloy frame; $650 stainless; about the same for blued steel.
Just curious, but does the conversion kit suffer from "generalist" problems that the dedicated .22 improves on? I've considered a conversion for my TLE2. What's the main advantage to the dedicated gun?
I know my wife would rather have me buying shotgun gauge reducers than new guns, but my goal is to outgrow the safe.

I am still curious about this gun, and I see that nobody has responded to ErnieStu's question regarding whether the dedicated .22 improves on the conversion kits.
Has anyone actually shot one of them? Or even held one in your hands in a gun shop or at a show?
