hi all,
I own a smith&wesson 1911. model sw1911, the full size stainless one. What i wanna do is replace all the black or blued parts on it with their stainless equivilant. Thumb safety, Grip safety*wilson*, Slide release, sear pin, hammer pin, and msh.
I know theres minor fitting requiered on the thumb safety and slide release. The Grip safety is from wilson and S&W said a new one would be drop in. The only things i dont know about is the hammer/sear pins and the msh.
Are all hammer and sear pins the same size from vendor to vendor? i was looking at the Ed Brown Rebuild kit. i know they only go out and in from the left side of the frame but i need to know if they are the same size as the ones allready in my 1911. The other question is, are all flat msh's the same? Do they require fitting to get in?
