SA GI Mil-spec. SA 7 round magazine with flat follower with dimple--added 11# Wolff spring. I marked the frame ramp and the barrel ramp with a marking pen. I hand cycled 7 dummy lead round nose rounds as quickly as I could work the slide. I examined the marked areas on the frame and barrel ramps. The frame ramp showed where the bullets had hit it and slid up it. The barrel ramp had no marking removed. Then at the range I fired live LSWC rounds--the same results--marks up the frame ramp but none on the barrel ramp. Is this the way it is supposed to be? I'm a'studyin'. I just hope I'm a'learnin'. When I first got the SA mags they would not feed consistently. As I looked at them and touched them I noticed that the front of the tube had rough/raised edges. Took the mags apart. Put some polishing paper on a 3/8" dowel and took the rough edge off the front of the magazines. Now they all feed nicely. Maybe I ought to change my handle to Grasshoppa.

Congratulations. You got one that feeds correctly. If you'll take the ink a little deeper into the chamber and feed a few more, you'll notice that the ink has been removed from the very corner of the barrel ramp. This is as it should be...and that's why it feeds so well.
