With STI's new partnership with Armscor, I am reminded of something I noticed awhile ago. I know the Trojan frames are cast and I wonder if they're made by SAM in the Philippines? I know the Trojan is made in the US but that doesn't necessarily mean it's "made in the US." What are the chances that the frames are cast overseas and then finished here?
I've posted a couple pictures of SAM frames and one of the Trojan frame. Note the frame cuts under the grips and the very similar kidney cut on the one SAM frame and the STI frame.
I'm not trying to bash on STI at all. I've got a .40 Trojan and couldn't be happier with it.
