Hi All

I'm new here. Just thought I would say Hello and ask if any one has a Springfield 1911 in 10mm. My son called and ask if I wanted to buy one.His buddy just bought a Springfield Socom Rifle so he is looking to sell the 10mm. Looks like the price might be around $500 so would that be a good price?
I think he said it was Stainless.

Does Springfield make any 1911's in 10mm? I thought that was mostly Colt.

Probably a conversion -- if it has the correct slide, extractor, etc., the price would be good. I'd take it to the range before shelling out the $$$, and then ask a few pointed questions. If you decide to get it, let me know and I can pass along a few tips for 10mm in 1911 platforms -- I have three in that caliber and there are a few things you need to do for total reliability, IMO...

Dunce0511,
Please post a picture of the SS Springfield 10mm?
ETA:
Here's a blued Springfield Linkless. I would like to see a Stainless. That would be a sweet gun.

Springfield did make a 1911 frame "linkless" 10mm at one time. Different than the omega 10mm. It looks just like a 1911 but has linkless barrel and lock up system.

I actually saw on on Gun Broker several months ago.

So if it an Omega or the linkless 10mm $500 would be great deal either way.
