forged frames 1911a1 frames

howdy , I am seeking a manufacture of forged 1911 a1 frames to build a nra / cmp hard ball gun any suggestions would be greatly appreciated , many thanks robb :sd: :geek:

I believe Baer, Rock River, Wilson, CMC and STI sell a forged frame you can buy. STI makes both forged and cast and may only be in a ramped barrel which I doubt you want.

There are ads runing in Shotgun News, for forged/machined frames, with the maker identified as something like "supplier to a big-name maker", or similar. Price is $225, which is pretty good, if the quality is too.
