Just a quick and simple question. When tuning an extractor, is it required that you reinstall the firing pin and firing pinstop after each adjustment?

Hi
It's certainly a lot easier to do that way.
With no firing pin in, the stop tends to fall out, more so with some pistols than others.
With no stop in the extractor tends to "clock". That can make you think you have overdone things.
If you pay a lot of attention to what you are doing then you can leave them out.

Thats what I did. I adjusted it w/o the firing pin and stop, then when I thought it was right I installed them and checked again. I replaced both the stop and the extractor hoping that the new stop would have a tighter fit, but it didn't. Does anyone know where to get an oversized stop or should I make my own?

check the EGW banner at the top of the page, they have them and make them for Brownells as well..

Hi
+1 on EGW, they do a very fine job. The FPS is cheap enough that you may want to add a few other things to your order ....
