I took a chance and purchased a charles daly 1911. I am very pleased with it except for 1 little thing. I pulled it apart to clean it after 100 rounds. There is a rough mark in the chamber. It actually seems like a series of little pits. Almost half the length of the chamber probably a 1/16 of an inch wide. It is rough enough to mark the casings.
Is this a problem I should call charles daly and ask for warranty service?
Or is this no big deal.

Ps It is deep enough that a little polishing compound wont fix it..

If there is corrosion / pit marks in the barrel, one may question the strength of the material. If it is a warranty item, I would send it back. If it is not a warranty item, I would get with the local gunsmith and let him look at possibly replacing the barrel.

(I am always careful and sometimes over-cautious. But then I have all of my fingers.)

I have read a number of posts with people complaining about rough barrels from Charles Daly, so getting them to replace it might just give you a barrel with different problems.
