I have a Safari Arms stainless frame that I've had for about 7 years and have never done anything with it and now I'm finally getting around to gathering the parts to build a pistol. I just bought a bare steel slide and I'm thinking about what kind of finish to put on it and I thought I'd pick ya'lls brains a little. I've been looking at some of the spray and bake finishes and I've thought about just parkerizing it. I do have an old oven that we threw out that I could wire up in the back yard long enough to do the job (so my wifes biscuits don't taste like paint). I also have an old Remington 870 12 gauge that use to be a Memphis Police Department service gun that I am going to refinish and will probably use the same stuff for it. So, everybody with an opinion ad/or experiance chime in...
