.45cal commander slide to .40cal

hi guys!

am planning of starting a project for my dream CCO. a commander size gun with an hi-cap officer's length frame. and i want it chambered for .40cal.

is it feasible to use a .45cal commander slide and convert it to .40cal? what things do i need to do to materialize this?

I believe you would have to get a different slide... .40 and 10mm use the same slide... Places like Caspian have them for faairly decent prices, but I don't know about where you are..

I don't think you could make the breech face work for you. You'll need a slide with the correct size breech face for the catridge you want to use.
