At the gun show today I ran into a 1911-styled firearm, labeled as a Springfield and imported by/as "Omega". It was a 10mm, but it appeared to possibly operate on a similar method as the Glocks, with the slide and barrel moving together in recoil; lockup accomplished at the ejector port and chamber of the barrel. Also, it appeared to have extractors on both sides of the chamber. What was this thing? What can anyone tell me about it? Thanks!

I think this is a Peters-Stahl pistol, sold at some time by Springfield under that name. Not much I know, but that's all I have.

Greetings,
I believe there are several Springfield Omega owners/shooters who post on the 'other' 1911 forum, 1911forum.com. If I recall correctly, it is also linkless, and easily convertible to other calibers. Sorry as to not be of more help, when I inquired about more information about this particular weapon, the 1911 forum posts and threads were basically all I could find.
Good luck!
