Your pistol appears that it is USGI, not a commercial model. Some sharper pictures would help. Appears to be a nice looking Colt. What is the serial number, barrel markings, inspector marking, and markings on the magazines(if any)? Since the UNITED STATES PROPERTY stamp is not visable in the photo, I would guess it is on the front left of the frame forward the slide stop (Pre serial number 510000 location). Maybe one of the Moderators can move it to USGI for you.

vikz,

More surprising, it can't be any younger than 82 years old. ;)

What is the first three digits of the serial number? Block out the last with X's if you prefer (eg. 561XXX). No Model 1911's were produced sn# 629500 in 1919.

how much do you think is the value of this pistol...it is really in good condition w/ the original holster and he said he haven't changed anything since his dad past away long time ago...he uses it every once in a while..
