I want to know from people who have used them in their 1911's if these laser sights are worth the money.
Are they effective?
Would you like to see one in a green laser color?

I have no experience with Lasermax, but having a laser will improve your shooting with ALL pistols, no matter what color is the laser!

I almost got a lasermax, because I love wood grips. Whatever your reason, I think you should get a laser and have fun watching the improvements.

It's amazing what a difference it makes to have instant feedback on how steady is your hand, how close are you to 'on target', and how you move when you pull the trigger.

Also, without even trying, you become better at point shooting. The benefits are immediate.

When I practice, I first use the SA v10 with CT lasergrips. Then, I shoot a couple of mags with my Kimber Rimfire Target (iron sights). Finally, I shoot my full size SA (iron sights).

The results are great! I'm able to shoot tighter groups than ever before with the 22. With the 22 and the full size SA, I rarely have fliers outside the group, and the groups are as tight as I've ever been able to make them on my best day.

Ironically, the toughest pistol for me to shoot with precision is still the V10; even with lasergrips, it is short, so it's tough to make groups as small as the full size 1911s.

I have one on mine (as of yesterday)...out of the box it was dead on with the sights. I won't have a chance until Sunday to try it, but I feel like it should be fine.

Well, I got to try it today. The laser was 1" low at 5 yrds. windage was dead on. Moved the POI down.....perfect.
Like Mac said "It's amazing what a difference it makes to have instant feedback on how steady is your hand, how close are you to 'on target', and how you move when you pull the trigger." The trigger pull....ahhhh yes....it showed me things I never thought I was doing.
I would say this is a good investment. The only down side is I just bought a BlackHawk CQC serpa holster, the switch on the slide stop would not allow the release to function properly sooooo........ I took my Dremel and made a few mods to the release buttons shape, not the retainer, just the button.....works great.
