Hello All,

I'm the proud owner of two RRA Basic Carry pistols. I know the company is located in Illinois, but I'm curious to know if all the parts are also made in house or if some are imported (like Springfield Armory frames produced in Brazil).

Thanks. And BTW what does MIM mean?

Mim means metal injection molding.
Check this link out that will explain the process http://www.gknsintermetals.com/technology/mim.htm

On their main page, in the fine print at the bottom, it states "Rock River Arms, Inc. produces American made, custom built rifles and pistols." So, I believe and expected no less, that their products are made in the US.

I know that they make their own slides and frames, at least I think that is the case, now that there is a company rep, maybe you can ask him directly....

Our pistols are 100% American made. Slides, frames and all small parts. People ask me at shows if we will ever have a pistol in the $500 to $800 range like Springfield. This is not likely as we have as much money tied up in one slide and frame as Springfield has in a complete pistol. I'm not putting their product down it's just the facts.
