I just bought a DW commander bobtail, I am curious what types of black grips that are out there that are cut for the bobtail MSH....Any suggestions would be great....

My favorite grip-maker is Hakan of Norway. (http://www.imageseek.com/hakan/)

Carbon Creations also makes bobtailed grips. http://www.carboncreations.com/getdepartment.asp?d=1
As does alumagrips and VZ grips.
If you want something specific (wood, micarta, or so on) let me know and I'll point you towards my favorites.

Esmeralda will modify anyone of her grips to bobtail - It is $29 extra for the cutting and refinishing. I think she has ebony and maybe some other black wood. VZ grips also makes bobtail - takes a call to him. I have his black micarta 320 grips on a standard stainless 1911 and I think they are stunning. Both advertise above. I don't know how standard the bobtails are on different guns, so I'd suggest talking to whomever you are getting them from in person!

Price range is about $90 (depending on the wood type, stippling, and so on). Delivery time will vary depending on the length of his list. (Maybe around a month or two.) If you like black, check out these.

Thanks for the information everyone.... I just out in an order to Nighthawk for a Black set of their VZs..... I know I don't have a Nighthawk yet but a guy can dream right.... I am also thinking of buying a set of tactical (half and half) alumagrips......

Those hawks will dress up any gun! Hopefully NHC has them in stock since VZ is in the process of moving and is temporarily out of stock of a lot of grips. Nighthawk is making me a set of the spalted maple ones for my NHC BobTail, even though it wasn't an option on their site.

Does anyone know if Strider/Gunner grips can be purchased with the Bobtail cut.....
