I may be missing something here but I have to ask. Keep in mind I am a novice. What’s the deal with 3 hole triggers and hammers with a hole in them as well. To me they just look silly and don't seem to accomplish anything. If I'm way off please enlighten me. Thanks

3 hole is just a look think the Aluminum trigger they are in is to keep from getting trigger bounce on good triggers

The hammer with hole is a rowel (sp) hammer and is supposed to be like that for use with upswept beaver tails

The theory is that the lightening of the two pieces speeds up lock time so you can fire the gun faster. However, unless you are some sort of shooting machine (think Rob Leatham, here) you won't be able to shoot fast enough to notice the difference.

I prefer solid triggers and spur hammers myself. One less place for dirt and gunk to get into.
