Hello - I'm looking at getting a Novak front and rear sight installed on o Springfield and was thinking about getting Novak to do it or EGW Gun shop to do it but EGW has a 3 month wait and Novak's advertises a week.
Has anyone had either of these companies do work? Good or bad?
Please PM me if you don't want to complain in "public"
Thanks
Scott

Both are highly recommended, and will do a top notch job. I have used EGW services and they do great work.

I think that Wayne Novak would do a top notch job installing his own sights. I use Novak high visibility sights, but install them myself. All you need is a jig to stake in the front sight; The high visibility rear sights fit the factory dovetail.

Even though it's not mentioned at the first post, I believe that he wants a Low Mount installed at the rear. That does not fit the factory dovetail, unless it is a Loaded model, which already has Novak Low Mounts, in which case, he wouldn't want them replaced.
My 2 Eurocents only.

If you are going to carry the gun, then the low mount sights would be the way to go, although the more expensive route (more machining). For competition the high visibility sights are ideal, and have the advantage of fitting the factory dovetail, so the only real work is staking the front sight.
