I just got back from the store with my Colt Combat Commander in good old .45! The finish is a little worn from carry, but i like that. it gives it character. I can't call the girls at colt to get her dated until after the 2nd. so here's some pics!

Congratulations! You're right--the "wear" just gives it character. Let us hear how it shoots. Nice pistol!

Those as you said are not wear marks Clean they be Character marks :D Floyd

Nice looking CCC. I like pistols that have an experienced look about them. Your's has slight honest wear in all the right places. I like the grips (ok, stocks) as well.

Nothing nicer than a classic Commander...even if its got a little honest wear on it. Congrats on a great catch.
