What's the story on the new defender?

I just bought a new defender (07000D). I take delivery 12/28 (10 day wait in CA). I have seen a few references to a new defender, 07810. Does anybody know the difference between these models?

If you haven't already looked at the "New Colt" thread that is on this forum, it might be worth a read. ... I think it is on the next page, Dec. 19th time frame. From statements Mark has made it is a Defender optimized for carry, and we will see it at the Shot Show.
