Firing Pin Stop Alignment

I have a Colt, series 70, Combat Commander. All works well with the gun except 2 or 3 rounds out of 100 the Firing Pin Stop seems to slide down, right after shooting, prohibiting the firing pin from returning to its ready position. To correct I simply push the Firing Pin Stop up which realigns the firing pin into the hole. I have "super cleaned and lubed" the firing pin, its chamber, the spring, and extractor, but the problem remains. Any ideas???

If you purchase from Wolff, a new recoil spring, they throw in a new extra power firing pin spring. Bet it needs one......

I had the same problem with my Combat Commander when I first got it. The stop would slide down while firing and actually tie up the hammer. The stop was loose and would just drop down. A new firing pin spring solved the problem, but the correct fix is to fit one of EGW's firing pin stops with that new spring, in my opinion.
