Well, here I am...Oops, you meant call for a bam-ba-lanz, not a Colt enabler. You know they have made different flavors of the Gunsite pistol, some of them even shoot well....
And I am here to help push you into the abyss, as my good friend and Mentor, OD, has done for me in the past.....and seems like fairly recently........;)

No matter how hard I tried, I can't hate Lynnie. So I 'll just ask her again to .... adopt me. Come on Lynnie, I promise I'll never touch your revolvers, rifles or other guns, only the 1911s.

Congrats girl, another fine one!

Joni Lynn
24th December 2006, 10:54
Sorry John............I usually only adopt Colt's & S&W's with the occasional other brand mixed in.

Hate her??? I was thinking that with her splendid collection of Colts, 1911's and Pythons, a marriage proposal might be more in order!!! :p

First of all, I know well that Lynnie wouldn't consider a marriage proposal, and second... what? You think I am a moron? Do the same mistake four times? LoRL, not for all the Colts in this world!

Time to go find that drool cup... now where did I put that thang???

Compliment is kindly but regretfully withdrawn...

and perhaps the "sage and wise" compliment should be given to Joni Lynn!!!!
No once was twice too many times. Never again!!!!!

This bit of wisdom is equally hard to argue against...

I think I've pretty much decided I don't like the slim grips or the short trigger. It's a nice gun from what I can tell by taking it apart to clean/lube it.

Barry in IN
24th December 2006, 19:59
I'm in agreement on the grips and trigger.
The long trigger feels better to me.
I also think the thin grips make the gun feel too flat. And, I don't like that the slim grips don't have lip over the plunger tube. It's not all THAT common for the plunger tube to come off, but I've had a few get loose enough to worry me that I didn't see it sooner. That lip over the tube is nice insurance.

Isn't there some sort of rule about the blatant showing of dremel tools on the forum? ;)
Isn't there a warning or something for dremel pics? ;)

Conguralation for your new purchase. You will like the gunsite Colt. After 500 rounds it gets more smoother.I don't have a problem with the short trigger but the thin grips got the go.My gunsite with the Ahrends grips very comfortable.

Lynnie,

I think even having a Dremel in the same room with that Colt is a hanging offense. So had you been looking for a Gunsite or did you just happen up on this one? It's a "beaut!"

Joni Lynn
26th December 2006, 08:25
It was in a gun store I go to once in a while. I looked at it the second time I saw it there........and left it there the next few times in also. Finally I couldn't stand it anymore and completed the adoption.

daveohno
26th December 2006, 18:09
Must be something wrong with where I shop, not only do they not have many Colt's, the prices are a couple of hundred bucks too high for the little they have.

On second thought, maybe it's for the best, if there was a place nearby with good prices, I'd have to mooch dinner at friends houses because I'd be broke!

Kangal- Nice Gunsite Pistol and very nice stocks!

I got out to the range for a little while yesterday in the cold..........the gun functioned perfectly through the 50 rounds that I ran through it. I had 3 new mags I got from Ivan and some of his ammo as well. As worked great. The guns fixed sights are perfect for windage and it shoots just a little high which is about where I'd want it anyway. The trigger is pretty heavy so it may need some attention there.

CONGRATULATIONS, ma'am!!!

I'm fixin' to get me a blued Colt's O1991A1 Government Model... I love my Colt's along with my others. You women who enjoy the shooting sports, are just so valuable to law-abiding firearms owners. Enjoy this one, ma'am, and all yours.
