...figure on a G70 series, reblued slide, large rollmarks still easily readable, used but not abused...no improvements in or out...I was a little shocked to see it and didn't record the #s...but it was a G70, THAT I remembered;)

What's a G70?

...just a suffix at the end of the serial number, it's a xxxxxG70, and like that...jg

Should we do the "we need a picture now" or wait?

...have to wait, it's 0n layaway...550US...sound about right?
Not tryin' ta' tease, just that they all seem to be so expensive, I was a little surprised to see one at a reasonable price...It seemed reasonable at the time ;)

Oh, OK......well that particular serial designation "G70" was made between 1976-80. The reblued slide really drops the price down. A wild guess since I am not looking at it is 500 bucks as a shooter.

...It is Christmas ;)

I think I would go for it. The few Series 70s I have found have been "customized". If it were unaltered I think that would be a fair deal.

...Thanks, that was my take on it as well...to tell the truth, after seeing some of the original pistol pics' here, the slide may not be refinished after all. I noticed several slides that appeared to be slightly different in bluing compared to the frames...This one is at least as close as some of those I've seen in the photos here and in the other forums...I'll have to get it into some different light to tell. I actually only held it long enough to notice that it was a series 70 and told them to put it up for me...I had the clerk field strip it so I could examine the frame parts and it all looked original. I know the frame, slide and barrel look ok and there were no signs of the dreaded D-R-E-M-E-L!

...thanks all...
