Rock Island Custom

I saw a Rock Island "Custom" on GunsAmerica:

Novak style rear sight.Completely finished in matte black Teflon. Medium length trigger. Trigger job. Nice Teakwood stocks. Bbl.ramped,throated & polished. Bbl. Hard Chromed for durability outside-Teflon finished inside for accuracy and ease of cleaning ($439)

I haven't been able to find out much...does Rock Island make a "custom" like this "out of the box"?

i believe those models are really meant for the export market. since those pistols came from the Phils., the "export market" is the USA.
oh yes, those are definitely great shooters for the price.

I have an Armscor Enhanced that is modified from the factory with Novak-type sights, ambi safety and extended slide release. It's been a good shooter and cost me $359.

Neat thing you did with your Armscor. Can you reco a beavertail for RIA which does not need to cut into the frame too much?

There are several companies making a drop-in beavertail. Wilson Combat makes a nice one.

I'd recommend visiting the Brownell's website and seeing what you can find there.
