What the subject says, I like the solid, black triggers, long ones. Any idea who makes these? I check Brownells, they list a trigger for Colt Commanders (# 160-126-100) but I do not know if these are the long ones that they use now on the NRM Commanders or the short ones. Any ideas???

John, The 160-126-100 is the long black one. I got one for my RIA 5". It looks good but it is plastic. Can`t really tell by looking at it though.

Jaybo, that's fine, I do not care if it is plastic or not. I like them enough to use them. Can you please tell me if it is serrated at the front or not? I'd rather not, but I'll take anything right now.
Spindly, thanks for that link. Unfortunately, these are aluminum, so if you have to file them a little, the shiny metal will show underneath. Plastic is the right material in this case.

I`m pretty sure it is smooth. I`m at work right now. Will verify when I get home.

Personally, I can't imagine what the downside of a plastic trigger would be. Since theres no real wear points and nothing to flex, why not? Best part is, the finish never wears off.
So, John, you gonna spill the beans and tell us what youre putting them on???

I just recieved my long black trigger from clark custom guns which is a kings gun works trigger . I havent installed it yet but its wider and should fit better than the plastic one that came with my colt 1991 . I wouldnt have cared about the plastic one but there was close to an 1/8 " on top and bottom of the trigger and it just didnt fit my finger well .

So....I just coated it with some Aluma-Hyde II....I think it looks OK,But I'll oreder a new one when I re-finish the pistol.....
