Another new member

I just recently registered and have been looking around trying to find more information on the Remington Rand M1911 I inherited a short time ago. I am VERY impressed with this site and how it's run. I am a moderator on a large site for another hobby I'm interested in and it's not even close to this well organized or as friendly as this site is. Bravo Zulu to the staff and members of this site.

I, too, am a new member. I have enjoyed firearms and target shooting for 25+years and have just purchased my first .45 ACP's (A stunning Stainless Colt XSE and a Stainless Kimber Ultra-Carry). I have been a WWII "student" since childhood (what a generation of true heroes - deepest thanks!) and finally have a version of the venerable 1911 (now I just need an M-1...). This forum is very informative and packed with very worthwhile info and opinion. Thank you for a GREAT website! I will be here frequently.
