Anyone have a good source for a complete recoil assembly for the defender, springs and everything?
Want to have a spare ready to go.
I live in CT but not sure I can drive up to colts and buy parts.??

My recent investigations say Colt is about it. :D

I have used Numrich in upstate NY. http://www.e-gunparts.com/ They have all sorts of schematics and exploded views of all kinds of firearms.

A recent check of Numrich's site shows no Defender parts. :D

Bill is correct.

I am currently going through a small saga with Colt over just one part of the assembly. They are having a computer mix-up with Defender parts getting mixed with full size series 80 parts. I needed a recoil spring cap and it has been somewhat of a challenge to get it after getting the wrong part. I tried to alleviate getting the same wrong part by asking Cindy (customer service/parts supervisor) if I could just buy the whole assembly and she said "no". You can get the entire assembly, but you have to buy each part seperately, then it is the old "some assembly required", according to her.

Well, I am embarrassed; you're right. Defender is in Numrich's list of Colt models right above Delta Elite (which is why I even saw it), but when you click (which I had never done before), there's no there there. Oh well, sorry.
