Picked it up from my FFL Thursday. Fast delivery and good price from Bud's Gun Shop, by the way. Took it to the range Sunday and a few rounds from a sandbag rest showed it was hitting at point of aim. Then fired an assortment of WWB 230 gr jacketed ball and Remington jacketed 230 gr HPs with no glitches. It's a keeper!

Good to hear.

I've seen a few others posting on various forums that they just got new Lwt Cmdrs, which tells me Colt must have just made a bunch.
And that's good to hear also. I've never had a Lwt.

Sounds like a nice purchase.

Bud's is a good place to buy from. We should remind them to get a banner ad here, they sell quite a few here just by the comments from the members, if they had an ad, they'd probably sell more.

You're right Dave! I've seen several purchased from Buds and have purchased one from them myself, as well as, recommending it to others!

I still love my Colt XSE LW after 2K rounds. It was shooting a little left and I got it too far right in the picture below, but of course I can fix that. I shot this at 22 yards at a friends ranch with one hand even and even worse than one hand I was using 230gr WWB from Wally World (Kidding, It is O.K. Ammo). I like it a little high at that range, so that was O.K. Yes, I blew one round. By the way, I still love my high class targets.

I've used paper bags for targets before, I guess I spend too much on guns. Nice shooting there, Dakota!! :D

racka, congrats on your new Colt LW! I picked mine up from Bud's earlier this year too. You made an excellent choice with the LW Commander. sc250

My LW XSE Commander is my daily carry, absolutely my favorite 1911. By the way, nice shooting Dakota. I would give Bud's a try if I had a local FFL that I could feel comfortable with - the FFL's that I have tried locally either want a King's ransom for transfer, or you feel like you might have to fight your way out of the place after you pick up your new weapon.
