My computer forced me onto gunsamerica.com, then it twisted my arm to look into several Colts that I saw there. Then, after talking to several sellers, I was compelled to purchase my 9th Colt! :scared: , a MKIV LWT Officers Model. Here is the sale pic, not the best pic but it sounds like a very nice gun.

It's a bad case of Coltitis when you buy one before you've range tested your last purchase :scared:

A good friend has a Colt Mark IV Officers, in stainless. On a visit to his area a couple of years ago we went shooting and he let me try his Officers. Love at first ... shot. As soon as I got home I went looking for one. I couldn't afford a Mark IV, but I got an early M1991A1 Compact, and it's fantastic. Just needed a bit of internal polishing to get the trigger pull down to where it belongs.

If anyone ever finds out how many Colt 1911 pistols is enough,

I went to a gunshow today, after selling an AR15 I had 600.00 in my pocket but I was still trying to peddle off my Springers. All those sweet old Colts were whispering my name as I passed by them, trembling......Alas, my total holds at 9, WHEW!! happy? sad! happy? sad! etc.....

Jeff,

Between you, Hunter, Daveohno, Larry, Steve and a few others, no wonder I can't find a Colt to buy.

number nine, number nine, nummmmber niiiine!
Here is my ninth Colt, arrived today, a Light Weight Officers ACP. Probably 95% condition. Very light compared to my other OM! feels lighter even with a full 7 round mag.

Very nice shootin' iron, Jeff! And I agree, computers CAN be bullies! Mine not only turned itself on, but dragged me out of bed and forced me to go to Bass-Pro fine gun room-site! Then the durned critter made me drive down and buy a 1964 mfg gubmint from 'em! Gads, we need computer control! (well, mebbe not...). Merry Christmas to you and everyone else on this site!

Could be worse, I've heard that the "Oh-No" bird's starting to fly again, or, was it that LANDING problem...hmm (BAD joke and off 1911 topic!...sorry). Have a VERY Merry Christmas, Hunter!
