OK, I've read somewhere in these forums that the best sear spring to use is the one from Colt. Looking in Brownell's catalog, they list a bunch of sear springs from different manufacturers, but I didn't see one from Colt. In the back of the catalog, they list manufacturers and parts for their guns. Are the parts they list actually provided by the Original Equipment Manufacturer or are they produced by somebody else i.e. if I order a Colt spring from the back of the catalog, will I get the real Colt made spring or do I need to contact the manufacturer to obtain one?

Yes, the parts listed by manufacturer in the back of the Brownells catalog are from the original manufacturer. Those "Colt" parts are indeed Colt parts.
