View Full Version : Need longer grip screws for 1911A1

I mounted an AIM TECH mount on my 1911 frame & want to put a grip on top of it but the screws are too short . Contacted Colt-Brownells-Numrich Arms-Hogue & various others to no avail ! Screws have to be at least 1/2" long .Am new member & would appreciate any help .Thankyou Vin

just go down to your local fastener shop,& they will match the size & screw pitch that you need.

when you find the screws,be carful,after you put them on,take a peek inside your magazine slide,just to make sure there not sticking through,if they are you can always grind a little off until they are clear.

Grip Screw is a .1500"-50 NS-2

I believe that the Aimtech mount is drsigned to replace your grip pannel... If you add one on top of it, you might have a hard time holding the gin....
