I'm currently using Slip2000 gun oil and it seems to work pretty well.

I got a bottle of gunbutter about the same time I got my Springfield 1911 last month. It seems to wok pretty well. I haven't been back out to the range since I first cleaned it and put the gun butter on it.

as a side note, I used the GB to fix a squeek in the iwfe's rocking chair and a sticky barrel lock on the front door. I just really love the applicator on the bottle. Great for getting a little drop in tight places.

Automatic transmission fluid. If you want thick, mix it with STP oil treatment 40/60.

I'm using FP10 right now. I'm considering trying the Slip2000 when my stock of FP10 runs out.

I'm getting a lot of of positive feedback from Slip2000 users.

For a lube/protectant I use Gibbs on the outside, Break Free LP on the moving parts. For a cleaner I use Shooter's Choice first to clean the carbon, then Hoppes #9 to get rid of copper build-up.

I use the oil that comes in cleaning kits. Plus i use the 3 in 1 oil and Rem oil. Nothing fancy.
