Yes sir that's a lot better and the grips look real good. I been wondering why there isn't more oak offered out there? Good luck.

Red Oak probably has too course a grain. White Oak would be OK. The traditional woods used for slabs will have a nicer graining pattern than the oaks, IMHO. Have you looked at using Hickory heartwood. Also Pecan or Hickory is very hard to tell apart. The Heartwood would give a very nice grain pattern. Very nice work, give us some more pictures.

10-4 radavis321, I was answering Baldy's question, he asked why Oak wasn't used for handles. Keep up the good work. Hickory is a very durable wood and the handles should take a lot of abuse. We once produced some custom kitchen cabinets out of Hickory. As I remember Hickory was extremely tough on the tooling.

My apologies that was my air head mistake. Why I put oak I have no idea. They call these the golden years, well in my case it is rust. I am sorry. Baldy

Oooh. Pretty grips. If you make some double diamonds like that I would buy them. That would look good on the RIA I plan on purchasing. Keep up the good work!
