Just purchased an EB "Special Forces". Everything works well. But I just noticed that the firing pin strikes the primer off center(on the high side). Has anyone else noticed this in Ed Brown pistols? Has it ever caused a failure to fire? Thanks.

So long as it goes bang every time it's probably not an issue.

Mine is just slightly off. I have more than 1500 rounds through it so far and not a single problem yet.

Thanks. I've had other 1911's that were a little misaligned also. The pistol runs fine. But off-center firing pin in a $2000.00 American made pistol raises some questios, I think. Thanks again.

Here's a pic. The primer strike is high at top dead center. Thanks.

It's best to leave it alone. If you were to cut the lugs more the barrel's POI or windage will change. If your gun is hitting were you point, then your good to go.

My pistol, honestly I never looked at the primers. Shoots fine!

Barrel fit is off a touch......but if it aint broke, and it gives consistent groups, I'd leave it alone.
