Hello everyone,

I have spent the last month or so going through this forum and would like to thank all of you for insight into the 1911 arena pertaining to my final decision as to which unit to procure.

Your collective assistance is much appreciated as I had no idea what to look for.

I proceeded by purchasing a new Wilson Combat Lightweight Professional Bobtail model that my local FFL had just received shortly before I visited that same day.

Turned out to be exactly what I had in mind and as you can imagine I purchased it on the spot.

I have not had the chance to shot it yet and will update you in the near future with my experience.

This is my 2ND pistol as I recently decided to obtain my permit and enjoy the indoor range in my town. The first being the new Sig P220 Combat I purchased two weeks ago.

There is a certain grace and prestige to a well built 1911 that I do not feel with any other pistol I’ve seen or have shot in the past.

Harleydog, Greg in OKLA, WBB: You sure weren't kidding about Wilson quality! Thank you for all your indirect help.

I’ll let the pictures do the rest…

;) You will love it. I have a all stainless bobtail. Shoots just as good as my full size Wilsons, and is a joy to carry. Plus, if it is possible for a gun to be sexy, it is sexy :)

Very nice pistol you have there. I know you will enjoy shooting it. I have its twin brother with me, just all in black.
