I love Colts... I wish I had twenty of them...
At the moment, I want both a Special Combat GM & a Les B. TRS...
The LB would be my only non-Colt... the only non-Colt I want.
I can purchase only one in the next year...
I know they have different applications... (target Vs. SD)...
Help me decide...

I have to go with the TRS. It is one of the few 1911's I have sold that I wish I could have back. I'm a Colt fan, but the TRS is much more gun than the Colt is. Buy the Colt on down the road, you need the TRS now :)

Thanks for the reply.
Moderators: sorry I posted in the wrong spot... didn't keep a straight finger and had an accidental discharge!
I'll end up with both guns no doubt.

You'll get a lot more use out of the TRS.
The SCG is a beautiful gun (the best looking rollmark ever, IMO), and very functional, but more directed at USPSA/IDPA match shooting.

The Baer is a great gun! I had a TRS for a while. Just make sure that you are OK with Baer's super tight philosophy. Pounding out the bushing with the barrel was tedious and not for me. Also, the sights on the TRS could benefit from a white ring around the tritium vial, in my opinion. I've got no input on the SCG, as they're not available in CA.

You're lucky in that guns are not like women in that you can have more than one of them and face no bad consequences other than having to pay for them. (once)
Buy the one that will be harder to find later for you and get the other one a little later on or stick it on lay-a-way somewhere.
