I have always wanted a colt 45 and a dear friend yesterday who has been collecting for years let me have one. It is a colt 45 ACP SN> 1128557. It is in 98 condition. It came in a US stamed leather holter on top flap. Hoster has no mark or date on it. But that is what it came in in 1950.

The magazine is stamped on the base with, 19200- assy 5508694

The magazine is military issue. It would help to identify the pistol if you had some pictures of it. What markings or words are on the frame? Someone may be able to pin down the weapon by serial number, but it would help to have some more info.
