Hello!

My beloved and trustworthy 1911 has a problem. I know how to make this gun fully automatic, but i like it djust the wait it is.

But when i pull the slide back to load my gun the hammer drops all by it self. Even when i dont pull the trigger. It works fine when i cock the gun slowly. But when loading "normally" the hammer drops.

Lucky for me the guns was empty when i find this out.

How do i fix this??

My 1911 is 6 months old, and in otherwise mint condtion.

RayDoes the hammer fall all the way, as to contact the fireing pin? Or does it fall to the safety notch (half cock)? My older Norinco started having "hammer follow" and the problem was a worn sear spring. I replaced it, no more problems. If your hammer is falling all the way - it needs professional help.
