Hello, all. I found this forum by accident, while doing a word search. Within the last year and a half, I have gotten into sidearms by necessity, and I have enjoyed learning to shoot them so much that it has become a near-obsession. I am not new to handguns by any means, but have, most of my life, preferred longarms, until I realized I needed to start packing a sidearm. I started with a double stack double action wondernine, but quickly moved away from that and got my SA Mil Spec. I knew before I bought the Taurus that a 1911 was the way to go, but I was curious about the wondernine thing. Anyway, as a 1911 fanatic, I will surely be here to beleaguer you all with my profound verbosity, so, for now, I hope I may purchase a bit of welcome by offering some low-res gun porn. Here are my Mil Spec, Valentine, and my GI Champion, Gigolette:

Welcome! Never thought I'd need a dictionary here, though (exordium). Nor have I given any of my weapons names! :p

Welcome, and those are some nice looking springers. I think and hope you'll enjoy this forum as much as some of the other 1911 forums.

Hi Seraph,
That's a nice pair of shootin' irons you got there. Welcome to the forum, hope to hear more from you.

Thanks for the welcome, all, and for the compliments. The weapon at the top is a near-stock Mil Spec with Scott Sensing ebony grips and S&A magwell. It is currently at the SA Custom Shop to receive some nice, but mostly inconspicuous upgrades, involving a long list of Ed Brown controls and internals. The most notable thing that will be done to it will be the weld-on magwell. I'm very anxious to get her back, and will post here, for those interested, to review and appraise the work of the Custom Shop. If all goes well with that, I will be sending in the GI Champion, for similar workup. I fancy pistols in matching pairs.

Seraph,
Welcome to the forum. This particular forum, in my opinion, happens to be one of the most informative, helpful, and mature 1911 sites. I'd like to say you're a stranger to me, but I've read many things you've authored on 1911Forum, and would like to welcome you personally. Undoubtedly our members here, as well as the visiting community will benefit from yet another mature, helpful shooter, 1911 fan, and friend.
Welcome, sir, and enjoy.
