Went to the actual range today with my Commmander. I ran fifty rounds through the gun last week. I was low on ammo. :( Today I loaded up 100 rounds and went to the range. The gun was shooting right on. Ive had no FTLs whatsoever. I thought that was good considering the gun wasnt broken in yet and i was shooting reloads. Have to love Colt!

I have to echo John's post, let's see some pictures of your weapon. Never can have too many pictures of Commanders.

I thought that was great!! A year ago I bought a _______ and I had an aweful time of FTLS. I calibrated everything twice. I never did have any luck. I could take the same reloads and feed them through my full size Colt and never have a problem. I was pleased that my new Commander performed well.

marlin44,
Although I don't reload my own ammunition, I do shoot quite a variety through my Colts, and have yet to find a factory load that will fail in any of my pistols. I am pleased to hear that your Commander is functioning as intended. :) Thank you, also, for the photo of your gun........hope you weren't "brow-beaten" too badly!!!! :D

Once again, congratulations on a fine range trip.

Very nice Commander. I have to admit that I am somewhat partial to the Commander size 1911. The symmetry, balance, and handling of the 4 1/4" bbl is better for me, and is more aesthetically pleasing.

Agree os commander length. Seems more symetrical and balanced.
