Took my pistol shooting yesterday, after eating , presents, etc., after 150 rds. the pistol locked up with a rd. in the chamber. The slide also didn't go all the way forward, lacking 1/4". Kept pistol in safe direction, the tried to rack slide (after removing mag. ). 5th try the rd. ejected. Put new mag. w/ same ammo, had same problem. Changed ammo from Fiocchi 200gr. JHP to Remington 230gr. JHP, no problems. Loaded all mags with Remington, no problems. Switched back to Fiocchi, 4 rds. lock up, same problem. Took longer to clear this time. My mags are Novaks, Wilson Combat 8 rounders. I apologize if this is in the wrong area. Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday.

Sounds like the Fiocchi ammo is oversized or the bullet ogive is wedging into the rifling or forcing cone.

Did some comparing of Fiocchi 200gr. JHP to Rem. 230gr. JHP. The Fiocchi ammo was slightly larger than the Rem. Also, compared the Fiocchi to some of the same box of Fiocchi, there was some variance. Did the same to the Rem. very little. I am very relieved I don't have a pistol problem. Thanks for the reply Stans.
